    • Hi Tom – they are pretty good – I have a Gitzo monopod which cost €50, extends to 6 foot and has a good wide rubber pad on the base. Some monopods also have the option of a spiked foot – great for outdoors but watch out on wooden floors :). Things to make sure of – get one with a rubber or neoprene grip, and I like the wrist strap on mine for walking.
