Use your iPad as a photography softbox

The Photo Soft Box Pro HD iPad/iPhone app is another really clever tool which is now on my iPad. Created by Light Paint Pro – the same company who produce HelloPhoto which I blogged here, this app – a light source for shooting images. The really clever bit about using the iPad as the base device is that you have many variations in the shape, colour and intensity of the light being displayed from the screen. When photographing close-ups, reflective objects and especially objects in otherwise dark surroundings, this means that you can determine the shape and position of catch-lights and other reflections very precisely.
